Lesson Three
What a Trust With God Is — And Why Anyone Can Enter One
Something inside you may have already begun to shift
There may be ~
~ a quiet longing for God’s help
~ deep weariness from carrying everything alone
~ a hunger for truth, peace and direction
~ a sense that God is gently inviting you toward something new
This is not a problem for you to solve.
It is a new beginning.
This is exactly where trust begins.
What a Trust With God Is — and Isn’t
A Trust with God is not a legal trick.
It is not a complicated document.
It is not a religious ritual.
It is not “manifestation.”
🌿 A Trust with God is simply this ~
~ Your heart is looking for a home—a relationship with God—where you place your cares, your concerns, what is too heavy for you to carry into His hands.
That’s all.
Nothing more is needed for now.
A Trust is a Relationship, Not a Piece of Paper
Many of us think of a trust as something that requires things like ~
~ lawyers
~ signatures
~ witnesses
~ property
~ legal knowledge
~ paperwork
These associations are understandable.
They reflect how trust has been expressed and managed in the world.
But in God’s design, a trust begins in your heart.
Paper, when it appears at all, is simply a symbol and a remembrance of a decision you already made.
A Trust with God is ~
~ a covenant
~ a partnership
~ a relationship
~ a mutual agreement of care
~ a place where God becomes the loving provider and protector.
🌿 Simply, it begins with a quiet, humble, willing heart.
God, I want to be under Your care now
Not the world’s
Not by my own strength
Yours
This is not a declaration for others to hear.
It is a turning of your heart back to the One who has always been with you and waiting for you.
And this is the beginning.
The Simplicity of God’s Trust Structure
A Trust with God is far simpler than most people imagine.
At its heart, it contains just four essential elements~
One ~ A Grantor — God
The source of your life, purpose, identity, and inheritance.
Two ~ A Trustee — Jesus
The One who carries responsibility for your guidance, protection, teaching, building, shaping, and restoration of what has been entrusted.
Three ~ A Beneficiary — You (and your family)
You are the receiver of what God gives—peace, healing, protection, direction, and blessing.
Four ~ A Purpose — To walk under His care
To allow Him to lead your life, heal what has been wounded, restore your household, and gently shape what lies ahead.
Everything else flows naturally from these four truths.
This trust is not man’s invention.
It is God’s relational model from the beginning.
A Trust With God Is about Giving and Receiving
Every trust involves placing something important into the care of another.
In a Trust with God your giving is not by force, fear, or coercion.
Only when you are willing and ready to give something to Him~
~ it may happen gently, slowly over time, or it could happen suddenly in the twinkling of an eye.
Over time, you may find yourself placing into God’s care ~
~ fears that have been carried too long
~ wounds that never fully healed
~ concerns for family and children
~ hopes, dreams, and callings never materialized
~ questions of identity
~ past hurts and disappointments
~ worries about the future
~ the need to survive by your own strength
~ the pressure to control outcomes
These things are not taken from you.
They are yours to offer—freely—into God’s hands.
And in return, God begins to give you ~
~ His peace
~ His joy
~ His wisdom
~ His comfort
~ His protection
~ His guidance
~ His strength
~ His purpose
~ His healing
~ His desires
This exchange is not transactional.
It is relational.
And it is the heart of a Trust with God.
You Don’t Need Property or Money to Begin
This is something you may be quietly worrying about, so it’s worth saying clearly and gently~
🌿 You do not need land, money, or material wealth to create a trust with God. You already have what God values most.
Nothing needs to be accumulated first.
Nothing needs to be proven.
You already have what matters most ~ your heart, your love, your attention.
You already carry ~
~ a heart, mind and soul
~ a life
~ relationships and family
~ purpose and calling
~ a story still unfolding
~ wounds that need healing
~ moments where your rights were ignored or violated
~ a future that deserves care and protection
~ a house — (your family line, your children, and those who come after you)
These are not lesser assets.
They are the highest-value things a person can place into God’s care.
God does not measure value the way the world does.
A heart offered honestly to Him
is more precious than gold.
Anyone Can Begin (Even Without Religious Upbringing)
You may hesitate here because you believe you are missing something else.
If so, it may help to hear this clearly and without pressure.
You do not need~
~ a church or religious background
~ perfect theology
~ confidence or certainty
~ courage or bravery
~ knowledge of the Bible
~ understanding of legal or spiritual terms
None of these are prerequisites for a Trust with God.
Willingness is enough.
There are other quiet thoughts that may be surfacing now.
You may find yourself wondering if trust is only for certain people.
You may notice thoughts like ~
~ I’m too old.
~ My body isn’t strong anymore.
~ I don’t have money or resources.
~ I don’t have special skills or talents.
~ I’m not educated enough or smart enough.
~ I’ve made too many mistakes.
~ I don’t know what my purpose is.
~ I’m not good enough, I’m not worthy
Whatever thoughts are attempting to convince you to not put your trust in God may be reasonable and factual.
But they are not disqualifications by God.
🌿 God does not ask you to know your purpose before you trust Him with your life.
Purpose is not something you must bring to God.
It is something He reveals as you walk with Him.
God does not wait for strength before He calls.
He does not wait for youth, health, wealth, or ability.
Skills are not prerequisites.
They are often learned along the way.
And trust is not limited by age.
A child can place their life in God’s care.
A teenager can choose to walk under His guidance.
An elder can begin again with Him at any moment.
God meets each one of us exactly where we are—
and leads us forward one step at a time.
It begins quietly, with a humble, honest willingness~
God, I want You to take care of me now.
I don’t want to carry this alone anymore.
That is enough.
Faith does not begin with strength.
It begins with trust.
A Trust With God Brings Real Change
It’s natural to wonder~
“What actually changes if I do this?”
The answer is not a guarantee or a formula.
It’s an invitation to notice what often begins to shift when trust takes root.
Over time, you may notice that~
~ anxiety begins to quiet
~ direction becomes clearer
~ the feeling of being alone starts to lift
~ the need to chase systems or solutions fades
~ God’s guidance becomes easier to recognize
~ opportunities arise that could not have been planned
~ the right people appear at the right moments
~ some doors open gently while others close without struggle
~ a sense of protection replaces constant vigilance
~ survival mode loosens its grip
~ children sense greater peace and stability
~ the atmosphere of home begins to change
~ problems seem to work themselves out
These shifts don’t happen because life becomes perfect.
They happen because who carries the weight has changed.
🌿 Trust changes who is writing your story.
And God writes your story with goodness that often arrives as a quiet, unexpected joy. Then the realization comes ~ “He did this for me.”
When a Trust Truly Begins
A Trust with God does not begin with paperwork.
It begins at the moment your heart, mind and soul quietly says~
🌿 “Yes.”
Documents may come later.
Paper can become a reflection.
A signature may serve as a symbol.
But it is the inward decision—the turning of the heart—that heaven responds to.
When you choose to place your trust in God, you may notice a gentle shift begin—
~ stepping under His care
~ aligning with His order
~ stepping out of fear
~ awakening your purpose
~ remembering your true self
~ allowing generational restoration to begin
In that choice, your heart may begin to form words of its own.
Sometimes they sound like a prayer~
Write my story.
Lead my household.
Restore what was lost.
Protect my children.
Heal what has been wounded.
Build what is yet to come.
These words are not meant to be repeated out of habit or obligation.
They are simply an example of what often rises naturally from the heart.
There is no script to follow here.
When relationship is real, words come in their own time—
formed not by effort, but by trust,
and spoken from the deepest, quietest place within you.
This willingness is enough.
And this is the foundation of a Trust with God.
A Gentle Turning Toward Form
As understanding begins to settle,
some feel content to remain here—
resting in a relationship without structure.
Others notice a quiet readiness
to let that relationship take shape.
Not because it is required.
Not because God demands it.
But because clarity sometimes helps trust become steady and lived.
Lesson 4 explores how a Trust with God can be entered—
not as a legal obligation or religious act,
but as a simple, intentional way
of placing what you’re carrying into God’s care.
Everything else grows quietly from that seed.
There is no pressure to proceed.
Nothing is lost by waiting.
